"The Bell is Ringing": Sasmit Pokharel Claims Strong Support in Kathmandu-5

Kathmandu: Sasmit Pokharel, a leader of the National Independent Party (RSP) and candidate for the House of Representatives from Kathmandu Constituency No. 5, has intensified his door-to-door election campaign. On Monday, he reached the Tokha area to meet directly with voters. During the campaign, he stated that he has received encouraging support from the electorate.

Speaking with Nepal News Bank, Pokharel mentioned that the support expressed through shouts of "Bell" (the party's electoral symbol) from every house and neighborhood has provided them with additional energy.

He noted that the primary desires of voters are for basic education and health services to be accessible and affordable, the creation of employment opportunities, and the establishment of an environment where people can stay in Nepal. He added that citizens expressed concerns regarding basic issues such as the preservation of heritage, road improvements, solving drinking water problems, and dust control.

He said, "We are receiving a lot of love and support. Hearing 'Bell, Bell' from every house and neighborhood during the door-to-door campaign has added to our energy. No one has very large demands. The people's desire is for basic education and health to be easy and affordable. Their expectation is for an environment where they can stay in Nepal. Aside from the protection of heritage, good roads, no water problems, and no dust, the people do not have any big dreams."

Along with presenting his election agenda to the voters, he is also collecting suggestions regarding local problems. As the House of Representatives elections draw near, candidates across the country have intensified their publicity campaigns.
