Janakpurdham — The Terai–Madhesh Democratic Party has strongly objected to the government’s suppression of the Gen Z movement. In a statement issued by party chair Chandlal (Vrisheshchandra Lal), it was mentioned that the deaths of youths occurred due to the government’s wrong decision to shut down social media, rampant corruption, and the oppressive character of the ruling coalition.

The statement demanded compensation for the families of the martyrs, proper treatment for the injured, and a judicial investigation into the incident. It also made clear that the party will always stand in favor of democratic values, principles, and freedom of expression.
