Tele-serial ‘Hira’ Based on the Story of a Widow Woman to Air from Shrawan 15 (July 31) on National Television

Kathmandu, Asar 23. A new Nepali television serial titled ‘Hira’, based on the social struggles faced by a widow after the loss of her husband, is set to air from Shrawan 15 (July 31, 2025) on national television.

Produced under the banner of Chhatreshwori Management Pvt. Ltd., the production house behind the National Film Award-winning movie ‘Bulaki’, the serial is rooted in social realities and emotional narratives. The production team officially announced the broadcast date during the poster launch held on Sunday.

According to director Bishal Baral, the official trailer of ‘Hira’ will be released on Shrawan 1 (July 17, 2025). The show will then begin airing weekly on Nepal Television from Shrawan 15 (July 31). Additionally, episodes will be available on YouTube through the company’s official digital platform, ‘CM Digital’.

Written by Biraj Bista and produced by Pavi Dahal, the tele-serial features a diverse cast including Bishal Pahari, Priya Rijal, Subarna Dulal, Bidha Karki, Preeti Shivakoti, Ravi Khadka, Kulbahadur Wali, Kesu Pun Magar, Sirjana Sitaula, Dinesh Kathayat, Gangaram Shrestha, Pavi Dahal, Laxmi Gosai, Rohan Pariyar, Begbahadur Shrestha, Bal Nepali, and Anil GC.

Presented in memory of the late Moti Bista, the script was penned by Rajbahadur Sane, with cinematography by Rak Kausal. The theme song features music by Jaya Devkota and vocals by popular singer Samikshya Adhikari.

The serial has been edited by Milan Bishwakarma, with Kiran Tuladhar handling background music for the trailer. The poster was designed by Rakesh Dahal. Filming took place around Nala Chuna Tal, Banepa-3, Kavrepalanchok.

‘Hira’ aims to deeply portray the social pain, emotional hardship, and challenges that widowed women face in Nepali society.
