Talks to be Held Today with Protesting Group Regarding Simara Incident

Talks are set to be held today with the protesting party regarding the incident that occurred in Simara, Bara. 

An effort is being made to find a solution through dialogue to the clash and tension between the CPN (UML) and the youth of the 'Gen-Z Movement' that began on Wednesday.

Rajan Paudel, Mayor of Jeetpursimara Sub-Metropolitan City, said that he is working to facilitate talks between the two sides. He expressed confidence that the talks on Friday will lead to a permanent solution.

Youth and Sports Minister Bablu Gupta, Gen-Z Movement leaders Sudan Gurung, Purushottam Yadav, and others are scheduled to participate in the talks. They arrived in Simara on Thursday evening.

Dharmendra Kumar Mishra, Chief District Officer (CDO) of Bara District Administration Office, stated that three people have been arrested based on the complaint filed with the police. 

The arrested are 38-year-old Arvind Sah of Jeetpursimara-2, Ward Chairman Dhan Bahadur Shrestha of Ward No. 2, and Ward Chairman Kaimddin Ansari of Ward No. 6.

CDO Mishra said that the District Court has extended their remand by 7 days for investigation. In the incident, six police personnel and four Gen-Z youths were injured. 

The administration repeatedly imposed a curfew order in the Simara area to bring the situation under control. 

Gen-Z supporters have suspended all protest programs until today (Friday). Life in Simara has returned to normal now.
