Sushila Karki Assumes Office as Interim Prime Minister

Kathmandu – Newly appointed Interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki has assumed office. On Sunday, she officially took charge at the new building of the Ministry of Home Affairs in Singha Durbar. Before assuming office, she paid tribute to the martyrs.

She was appointed as the Prime Minister of the interim government on Friday night through GenZ voting.

Since the official Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar was damaged during the protests, Prime Minister Karki had been staying at her private residence.
