Surya Thapa Targets Interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki and Sudan Gurung in Allegations
Kathmandu – CPN-UML leader Surya Thapa, through a Facebook post, has accused Interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki and Sudan Gurung of acting as agents of foreign interests.
In his post, Thapa claimed that such individuals disregard the constitution, law, and state responsibility, sometimes instigating violence and arson, and even attempting to intimidate the President. He further alleged that they enter ministries, and in the presence of ministers, scold and pressure senior government officials.
Thapa also criticized the Finance Minister and the Home Minister, accusing them of irresponsibility for recognizing such figures as “experts.” “If they were truly elected and accountable to the people, they would have felt shame, fear, and responsibility,” he remarked.
He concluded by stating that Nepal’s politics has been overtaken by a broker system serving foreign interests, and urged the government to put an end to unauthorized orders and non-accountable activities.
