Surendra Pandey Campaigns in Kathmandu-1 for Inclusive Socialist Party
Kathmandu. Surendra Pandey, representing the "Inclusive Socialist Party," has intensified his door-to-door campaign in Kathmandu Constituency No. 1 with the goal of ensuring representation for the sexual and gender minority community.
During the campaign, he stated that the sexual and gender minority community is still marginalized by the state and society, making their direct representation in parliament essential.
"In a situation where sexual and gender minority individuals are being ostracized by the country and society, I have filed my candidacy directly in this constituency and am conducting a door-to-door campaign to ensure our representation is in parliament," he said.
He mentioned that after major political parties failed to provide inclusive space, he filed his candidacy by building his own political force.
Claiming that his party holds a clear stance on transparency, good governance, and anti-corruption, Pandey expressed his commitment to prioritizing local issues such as preventing youth migration and managing drainage systems.
He said, "This party was established after other parties failed to include us. We are extremely transparent and strongly condemn corruption. We will solve the problems of this area, such as preventing the migration of local youth and improving drainage."
