CPN (UML) Has Put Youth Participation into Practice, Says Sunita Dangol
Kathmandu. Sunita Dangol, a Central Committee member of the CPN (UML), stated that the CPN (UML) has put the idea of bringing youth into politics into practice.
Speaking on Tuesday at a talk program in Kathmandu titled "Messages of the 11th General Convention and Political Solutions," she said that while many other parties have made slogans and speeches about how youth should enter politics and be encouraged, the CPN (UML) has turned that message into actual practice.
She said, "Many people made slogans and speeches saying youth should enter politics and be encouraged, but the CPN (UML) has implemented that message in practice. A separate space and group have been created to bring youth into the party's central leadership."
She also mentioned that the participation of youth under the age of 40 was ensured in everything from the selection of representatives to the choice of leadership. She further stated that she gained energy from the 11th National General Convention to remain positive no matter what challenges arise.
She said, "The 11th National General Convention of the CPN (UML) was a first-time experience for me in many ways. It was my first experience participating as a representative. I also learned from the convention the energy that one must remain positive even when facing any kind of challenge."
