MP Amaresh Singh demands immediate resolution for sugarcane farmers' payment

Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmaker Amaresh Kumar Singh has drawn the government's attention to the issues of sugarcane farmers' payments and the shortage of chemical fertilizer.

Speaking at the House of Representatives meeting on Tuesday, lawmaker Singh stated that sugar mills have still not been able to clear the dues of sugarcane farmers. He mentioned that farmers have also not received the subsidy amount provided by the government on time and demanded immediate arrangements for the payment.

He said, "Sugar mills have not yet been able to pay the sugarcane farmers. The sugarcane farmers have also not received the subsidy given by the government, and I want to draw the government's attention to this. The sugarcane farmers should be paid soon. The money provided by the government should also be made available to the farmers quickly. Now, the plantation season is about to begin. The government must arrange for adequate fertilizer on time. Fertilizer has not been available so far. The plantation season starts in 10 to 15 days."

He urged the government to immediately provide the amount due to the sugarcane farmers and stated that since the plantation season is about to begin, necessary arrangements for fertilizer must be made on time.

Lawmaker Singh mentioned that adequate fertilizer has not been available so far and urged the government to ensure the supply of fertilizer so that farmers do not face difficulties, as the plantation season will start within the next 10-15 days.
