KATHMANDU. Newly appointed Minister for Youth and Sports, Bablu Gupta, has issued a circular to seven bodies under his ministry, mandating the live broadcast of all their meetings. This decisive move is aimed at ensuring transparency in the administrative work of the ministry and its subordinate agencies.

Transparency Initiative
Minister Gupta made this decision, the first after assuming office, on October 26, 2025. The circular, which cites a ministerial-level decision, states that the objective is to bring transparency to the administrative tasks of the ministry and its subsidiary bodies.

• The National Sports Council (Rastriya Khelkud Parishad)
• The National Youth Council (Rastriya Yuva Parishad)
• The Youth and Small Entrepreneur Self-Employment Fund (Yuva Tatha Sana Byawasayi Swarojgar Kosh)
• Nepal Scout
• The National Anti-Doping Agency
• The Fapla International Cricket Ground and Sports Village Infrastructure Construction Development Committee, Dhangadhi

The official letter explicitly instructs the concerned bodies to make arrangements for the direct telecast of all types of meetings, utilizing their existing budget resources for the necessary management.

Minister Gupta's commitment to transparency was highlighted as he took charge of the ministry, with the live streaming of meetings being his first major directive.
