Sports Minister and Physical Infrastructure Minister Inspect Janakpur Stadium
Janakpur. Youth and Sports Minister Bablu Gupta and Energy, Physical Infrastructure, and Urban Development Minister Kulman Ghising inspected the construction site of the Shree Ram Janaki Multi-Purpose International Stadium in Janakpurdham.
On Friday morning, the two ministers, Ghising and Gupta, inspected the stadium and gathered information about the construction from officials of the Madhesh Provincial Ministry of Sports and members of the Sports Council.
Following the inspection, Sports Minister Gupta stated that since the 11th National Games are slated to be held in Madhesh Province, the necessary physical infrastructure must be completed accordingly.
He mentioned that since there is little time remaining, he would take necessary steps to complete the construction of the physical infrastructure.
He informed that he received information that the stadium's paperwork has been completed but has been stuck for many days at the Federal Ministry of Finance.
Minister Gupta stated that he would go to Kathmandu and give instructions to move the process forward. He stressed that the construction of the Janakpur stadium is essential, as Janakpurdham and Narayani are the only options for the 11th National Games.
Ministers Gupta and Ghising are scheduled to go immediately to inspect the Kamala Bridge, which connects Siraha and Dhanusha.
