Split Deepens in CPN (Unified Socialist) Amid Maoist Center Unity Push
Internal divisions within the CPN (Unified Socialist) party have escalated as a faction of leaders and cadres opposed to the proposed merger with the CPN (Maoist Center) has fractured further.
Ramkumari Jhakri, former Member of Parliament Kisan Shrestha, Amber Bahadur Thapa, Dr. Banshidhar Mishra, along with Home Bahadur Budhathoki, Pitambar Timilsina, and Arjun Rai, are now consolidating leaders and workers who favor a return to the CPN (UML).
Simultaneously, the faction advocating for the reorganization of the existing party, led by senior leaders Jhalanath Khanal and Ghanashyam Bhusal, is holding a separate meeting in Gaushala to solidify their stance against the merger and chart a course for party restructuring.
