Speaker Aryal and UNDP Discuss Digital Shift
Kathmandu. The process of making the Federal Parliament technology-friendly and fully paperless has been moved forward. During a meeting with Kyoko Yokosuka, the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Speaker Dol Prasad (DP) Aryal clarified his special interest in the digitalization of Parliament and the establishment of an E-Parliament.
The meeting included discussions on collaboration for capacity building in Parliament, women's empowerment, and the upliftment of marginalized communities. UNDP expressed its commitment to assisting with the creation of a digital parliament and the exchange of experiences.
Speaker Aryal emphasized making the partnership more effective by determining the necessary modalities for the capacity development of women parliamentarians. This initiative is expected to make parliamentary proceedings more transparent and technology-friendly.
