Shobha Pathak Files Candidacy in Bhaktapur-2

Kathmandu. Shobha Pathak, a candidate from the Nepal Janadesh Party, has registered her candidacy in Bhaktapur Election Constituency No. 2. Pathak filed her nomination on Tuesday after arriving at the Office of the Election Officer.

Speaking with media personnel after the registration, she stated that she filed her candidacy to raise her voice in parliament since government agencies had failed to listen to the cries against injustice.

She said, "I need to speak for the voice of injustice. Yesterday, I was speaking out on the streets against injustice, and since government bodies did not listen, I registered my candidacy believing that I must now go to the parliament itself to raise my voice." 

In the same constituency, Mahesh Basnet of the UML, Rajiv Khatri of the RSP, and Ram Prasad Sapkota 'Deepshikha' from the Maoist Center have also registered their candidacies.
