Deuba Flies to Singapore on the Pretext of Avoiding Elections, Citing Health Treatment
As the election fever spreads across the country, former President of the Nepali Congress and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba secretly flew to Singapore in the middle of the night.
Deuba left for Singapore for medical treatment on a Singapore Airlines flight at 11:30 PM on Wednesday. He was spotted in the sterilized area of the international terminal at 10:30 PM on Wednesday night.
According to sources, two to three other people accompanied him. Deuba, who has been under stress after General Secretary Gagan Thapa reportedly refused to provide tickets, was already reconsidering his trip to Dadeldhura to vote in the House of Representatives election.
Since he has gone abroad with only six days left before the election, the possibility of him not returning to cast his vote has increased.
