Nepali Congress Leaders Shekhar Koirala and Sher Bahadur Deuba Meet
Today, a meeting took place between Nepali Congress leader Shekhar Koirala and party president Sher Bahadur Deuba in Kathmandu.
Leader Koirala, accompanied by Central Member Dr. Minendra Rijal, went to meet the party president to discuss the incident where the Active Membership Distribution Committee sent unnumbered forms to various districts, and the issue of revoking the recommended actions by the Central Disciplinary Committee.
In the meeting, Koirala informed Deuba that the Active Membership Distribution Committee's act of sending unnumbered forms to the districts has created complex problems across the country within the party.
Koirala urged Deuba to immediately instruct the return of those unnumbered forms and send new ones. Koirala argued that the convention process cannot even begin based on those unnumbered forms.
Drawing Deuba's attention to the matter of disciplinary action, Koirala proposed that the disciplinary action against everyone should be revoked, and they should be instructed to focus on the party's general convention and the general elections. Koirala's view was that disciplinary action should not be taken now for matters that occurred during the coalition period of the 2079 election.
