Nepali Congress Leader Dr. Shashank Koirala on General Convention Timing
Nepali Congress leader Dr. Shashank Koirala stated that there is little time remaining for the General Convention.
Speaking with journalists today (Mangsir 16), he mentioned that at least three months would be necessary to hold the convention.
Koirala said, "There is little time. If the General Convention is not possible in Poush, it will happen after the elections."
He added that although the party has decided to hold it in Poush, it is not yet certain whether it will actually happen. However, he emphasized that everyone should get ready for the General Convention. He also stressed the need to include Gen Z in the convention process.
Regarding his candidacy for the convention, he said, "I had stated that I would contest for the post of President (Sabhaapati). Shekhar Dai (Dr. Shekhar Koirala) is there. He is also interested. We are discussing it. One of the two of us will contest."
