Welcoming the Court's Order, Shahi Says—"The System Must Change to Improve the Country"
Kathmandu, December 19 : Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) leader Gyanendra Shahi has welcomed the order issued by the High Court Butwal to release Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane on bail.
Stating that Lamichhane had been kept in custody based on political vendetta despite the possibility of proceeding with the case while he remained out of detention, Shahi described the court's latest move as positive.
Writing a post on his social media handle, Facebook, leader Shahi said: "The RSP Chairman Rabi Lamichhane, who was in pre-trial detention due to political vendetta even though the case could be reviewed while keeping him outside, has been ordered to be released on bail by the court today. Many, many thanks to the respected court."
While speaking in favor of Lamichhane's release, Shahi also made sharp comments regarding the country’s existing political and administrative state. He insisted that the country will not find a way forward until improvements are made to the current system.
"Now, the country will not find an exit without improving the system to better the current situation. It is necessary for everyone to understand this," Shahi added.
