RSP Leader Balen Shah Pledges to End Political Hurdles for Industries
Kathmandu. Balen Shah, a senior leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, has stated that the current situation where one must bow down to ten different leaders just to open and operate a new factory still exists, and he pledged to end such a state.
Addressing the "Hami Aayau" (We Have Arrived) change proclamation assembly organized by RSP in Itahari on Tuesday, he mentioned that in the region which hosted the country's first industries, one still has to bow to ten leaders to start a new factory, and he vowed to bring this to an end.
He said, "This is the region of the country's first industries. There are factories here ranging from cooking oil to spices. However, no new ones have been opened since the time they were first established. If someone wants to open a new one, they have to bow to ten leaders. They have to coax government employees. Only then does a factory open, and once it starts running, the terror begins. That will no longer be necessary. RSP wants to remove that."
He expressed grievance that although 60-70 percent of Nepal's football players are produced in Eastern Nepal, it has not been possible to build a playground or a stadium to this day.
Stating that a football player must practice for at least 10,000 hours to become good, he claimed that RSP would become the party that facilitates such practice and produces athletes.
"60-70 percent of Nepal's football players come from the East. But we haven't been able to produce football players or build sports grounds and stadiums. To become a good football player, one must practice for at least 10,000 hours. RSP will become the party that makes that happen and produces players," he said.
He expressed a commitment to save the country just as the Silam Sakma is believed to protect people from death. He also stated that he wants to feed the citizens by increasing production according to the potential within the country.
