Self-Awakening Program for Good Governance and Prosperity Held at Prime Minister's Office
Kathmandu. A "Self-Awakening" program for good governance and prosperity was held today at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar, in the presence of Prime Minister Sushila Karki.
The program was attended by ministers, the Chief of Army Staff of the Nepal Army, high-ranking officials from various security agencies, the Chief Secretary, secretaries, departmental heads, and representatives from the private sector.
During the event, LP Bhanu Sharma, the founder of Jeevan Bigyan, delivered a lecture on self-awakening. Additionally, Prime Minister Sushila Karki expressed her belief that the self-awakening campaign would assist in establishing good governance in the country by developing a workforce characterized by morality, integrity, and a spirit of service.
She stated that, keeping in mind Nepal's various socio-political movements and the demands of Gen Z for integrity and good governance, it has become essential to institutionalize self-awakening at all levels and make it a part of daily life.
"Self-awakening is not just a spiritual practice; it is a practical way of life that teaches individuals to remain happy and peaceful internally while helping to build a responsible, dutiful, and prosperous society externally," she said.
"Self-awakening first teaches one to be organized, disciplined, and conscious. After that, it inspires one to be responsible toward family, society, and the nation. A self-awakened person does not only seek rights but asks themselves what their duty is."
