Government Employees to Receive Salaries Twice a Month

Kathmandu: The Ministry of Finance has decided to change the salary and allowance payment system for government employees. The salary benefits, which have been provided on a monthly basis until now, will be distributed on a semi-monthly basis (twice a month) in the coming days.

According to the letter issued by the ministry, the Financial Comptroller General Office has been instructed to make the necessary preparations for the implementation of this arrangement. 

Until now, government employees have been receiving their salaries all at once at the end of the month. However, after the implementation of the new system, there will be an arrangement to receive salaries in two phases within a month.
