Sagar Dhakal Urges Not to Limit the Sacrifice of the Movement to Midterm Elections
Kathmandu – Sagar Dhakal, who had contested against Nepali Congress leader Sher Bahadur Deuba in the last election, expressed his dissatisfaction with the Prime Minister through a social media post.
In his Facebook post, Dhakal emphasized that the sacrifices made by activists should not be limited to just midterm elections. According to him, the historic sacrifices of the movement were not only for midterm polls but to fulfill the demands of the people’s movement.
He wrote, “Prime Minister, Zen Z did not make such a great sacrifice just for midterm elections. How can we move forward without fulfilling the demands of the activists?”
Dhakal also suggested that it appears the Prime Minister came to power through the President, not the movement, and called it a “major mistake” that Zen Z returned without a proper agreement.
However, he expressed optimism that nothing has worsened yet and believes that the Prime Minister will not “sell gold for the price of brass.”
