RSP Sweeps All Four Constituencies in Sarlahi
SARLAHI. Candidates from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) have emerged victorious in all four constituencies of Sarlahi in the House of Representatives elections concluded on Thursday. They won by defeating their competitors with wide margins in all four electoral districts.
In Sarlahi Constituency No. 1, RSP leader Nitima Bhandari Karki was elected with a heavy margin of votes. She secured victory as a member of the House of Representatives by defeating Nepali Congress candidate Shambhu Lal Shrestha by nearly 36,000 votes. While Bhandari received 44,181 votes, her closest rival Shrestha obtained 7,871 votes.
Similarly, RSP candidate Rabin Mahato won in Sarlahi Constituency No. 2. He defeated his closest competitor by a wide margin, receiving 42,512 votes. Mahato's nearest rival, Mahendra Raya Yadav of the NCP, received 8,523 votes. Meanwhile, Rajendra Mahato, the candidate from the Rastriya Mukti Party, brought in 5,992 votes.
In Sarlahi-3, RSP candidate Narendra Sah Kalwar won by receiving 46,890 votes. His closest rival, Narayankaji Shrestha of the NCP, received 13,338 votes. Kalwar defeated Shrestha by a margin of 33,552 votes.
Additionally, in Sarlahi-4, RSP candidate Dr. Amaresh Kumar Singh won with 35,688 votes. His competitor, Gagan Thapa of the Nepali Congress, received 22,831 votes. Singh defeated Thapa by 12,857 votes.
