Lamichhane Claims Government Will Investigate All Scandals Since 2046 BS
Hetauda. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane has claimed that once the RSP government is formed, an impartial investigation will be conducted into all scandals that have occurred since 2046 BS.
Addressing an election rally organized in Hetauda on Monday, Chairman Lamichhane clarified that the RSP government to be formed after Falgun 21 will open the files of major corruption scandals in the country. Pointing out the need to ensure victory for RSP candidates across the country for that purpose, he urged voters to make the right decision.
"RSP government must be formed to open the files of major corruption in the country," he said. "The day for decision and judgment is Falgun 21 itself. The decision you make will determine the future of the country. The RSP government will conduct an impartial investigation."
Referring to the incident of burnt money at the residence of then Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba during the Gen Z movement, Lamichhane presented it as irrefutable evidence.
Lamichhane claimed that all scandals since 2046 BS would be impartially investigated and assets hidden abroad would also be tracked down. In the context of rumors regarding the postponement of the election date, he clarified that the election would not be stopped under any pretext.
"The most important thing in a democracy is the people's vote," he said. "The people are ready to vote. No party should look for excuses. RSP will accept whatever the election result may be—if we come in first, we accept first; if we get zero, we accept zero."
