RPP MP Kanchan Biccha Appointed Minister in Madhesh Province,Lingden Orders Immediate Recall
Kathmandu: A major controversy has erupted within the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) following the appointment of its Madhesh Province Member of Parliament, Kanchan Biccha, as a minister. Shortly after Chief Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav was appointed on Monday, he included Biccha in his cabinet.
This move immediately drew a sharp reaction from RPP Chairman Rajendra Lingden, who expressed serious concern over the party's participation in the Madhesh Province government. Lingden, stating that the action constitutes a grave violation of party discipline, has issued a directive for the RPP member to immediately withdraw from the government.
The Chairman's instruction highlights a deepening internal rift over the party's official stance on joining provincial coalition governments, especially in Madhesh Province.
