RPP Lumbini Condemns RSP for Climbing King Birendra's Statue
The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Lumbini Province has expressed serious concern over the behavior of some Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) workers who stood on the statue of King Birendra at Birendra Chowk in Tulsipur Municipality during the arrival of RSP Chairman Rabi Lamichhane in Dang.
In a press release issued by Provincial Secretary Rajendra Adhikari, the incident was described as "insulting and rude," and a strong condemnation and expression of regret were stated.
The RPP stated that activities that hurt anyone's faith and sentiments are intolerable and demanded that the RSP clarify its stance on the incident and apologize. Furthermore, it urged for a commitment that such incidents will not be repeated.
The statement also mentioned that all parties must be responsible for creating an environment where voters can cast their ballots without fear during elections. It urged all political parties and individuals to maintain an atmosphere of healthy competition and to refrain from any activities that hurt the faith of other parties.
