RPP Leader Gyanendra Shahi Urges CK Raut Not to Engage in Secessionist Politics
Kathmandu: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) leader Gyanendra Shahi has urged the Chairman of the Janamat Party, Dr. CK Raut, via social media, not to get involved in the game of dividing the country.
In his Facebook post, Shahi stated that Nepal is a "country of unity in diversity" and told Dr. Raut that the current "opportunity" is not for splitting the country, but for fighting against misgovernance, corruption, anarchy/disorder, and oppression, and for building a New Nepal.
He wrote, "Nepal is a country of unity in diversity, respected Dr. CK Raut ji. Do not engage in the game of separating the Terai from the country by saying 'this is the opportunity itself,' respected Doctor Saheb.
This opportunity is not for dividing the country; it is the time for us to become 'hundreds of flowers in one garland, Nepali' and fight against good governance/misrule, corruption, anarchy/disorder, and oppression, and build a New Nepal."
Shahi, who has built an image as an anti-corruption activist, called upon Dr. Raut to join the campaign for good governance and nation-building by becoming 'hundreds of flowers in one garland, Nepali,' rather than challenging the country's integrity.
