RPP Endorses Former King’s Call to Resolve National Issues Before Elections
The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has expressed support for the video message issued by former King Gyanendra Shah on Wednesday, stating that it would be appropriate to enter the elective process only after resolving the country's national problems.
According to party spokesperson Mohankumar Shrestha, a meeting of central officials held today reached this conclusion. The meeting concluded that the election process should be initiated only after considering the resolution of national issues before the polls to ensure there is no conflict, unrest, or infighting following the elections.
"It will be appropriate to move toward the election process only after resolving national problems, which will then establish permanent peace in the country," stated the press release issued by the meeting.
As party Chairman Rajendra Lingden was outside the valley, the meeting was chaired by Vice Chairman Buddhiman Tamang.
