RPP Submits Closed List of Proportional Candidates for Upcoming Election
The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has submitted its closed list of candidates for the proportional representation category for the upcoming 2082 House of Representatives election to the Election Commission.
The party has included a total of 110 candidates. RPP stated that they have prioritized ethnic and gender inclusion in their selection.
Candidate Inclusion Breakdown:
- Indigenous / Janajati: 30 men and 15 women
- Khas / Arya: 15 men and 16 women
- Tharu: 3 men and 4 women
- Dalit: 8 men and 8 women
- Madheshi: 13 men and 10 women
- Muslim: 2 men and 4 women
The party claims that the list was prepared based on inclusive standards to ensure fair representation of various groups and genders.
The Election Commission noted that while the registration process was completed according to the law, they will verify the list in the coming days to ensure it strictly follows the required proportional and inclusive criteria.
With this submission, the Rastriya Prajatantra Party has completed a major step in its election preparations.
