Rishi Dhamala Claims He Rejected Ministerial Post to Run for Election
Rautahat. Rishi Dhamala, who has filed his candidacy for the upcoming House of Representatives election from Rautahat Constituency No. 4, has claimed that he entered the electoral race by giving up the temptation of a ministerial position.
Speaking during an interaction program with local people in Chandranigahpur, Rautahat, on Thursday, he clarified that his political journey is not for power but for the transformation of the country. According to Dhamala, while the current Prime Minister Sushila Karki and leaders of the ‘Gen Z’ movement repeatedly urged him to become a minister, he declined the offer.
"A ministerial post is not a big deal for me; I haven't entered politics for power, but to change the condition of the people," he said. He stated that he has no greed for power or position and has come to Rautahat solely for development. He claimed he would play an active role in eliminating poverty and illiteracy in Rautahat and provide a new direction to the country.
He mentioned that he has been visiting people's doorsteps from morning until midnight to listen to their problems. He is competing in the election under the Aam Janata Party led by Prabhu Sah, with the "mobile phone" as his election symbol. With Dhamala’s candidacy, the electoral atmosphere in Rautahat-4 has become quite interesting.
