Rastriya Samata Party Urges Government to Protect Nepal’s Rights in Lipulekh–Limpiyadhura–Kalapani
Kathmandu — The Rastriya Samata Party Nepal (RSPN) has reaffirmed that Lipulekh, Limpiyadhura, and Kalapani are an integral part of Nepal’s sovereign territory. According to the party, the 1816 Sugauli Treaty and other historical evidence clearly establish Nepal’s rights over these areas.
The party expressed serious concern over the recent trade agreement between India and China and urged the Nepalese government to raise Nepal’s territorial issues firmly during the Prime Minister’s upcoming visits to India and China.
“The agreement made by other countries without Nepal’s consent is invalid,” the party stated. RSPN also warned that if the issue is not resolved, it may take the matter to the United Nations.
