Moral Responsibility Accepted by Ramesh Lekhak in the Bhadra 23 Incident, Difficulty for Oli
Kathmandu — Then Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has stated that he holds moral responsibility for the incident that occurred on Bhadra 23.
While providing a statement to the inquiry commission formed to investigate the incident, Lekhak clarified that he became distraught after the loss of a large number of young lives and resigned on moral grounds due to that pain.
After the then Home Minister took moral responsibility before the commission formed to investigate the incidents of Bhadra 23 and 24, it has caused some difficulty for the then Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
Following the revelation that the minister handling the home administration resigned while taking responsibility for the incident, moral questions have also been raised against the then head of government.
