Supreme Court Refuses to Order Release of Former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak
Kathmandu — The Supreme Court has refused to issue an order for the release of former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak.
The decision came in response to a habeas corpus petition filed by his wife, Yashoda, seeking his release. While the court issued a “show cause” order to the government, it declined to grant an immediate release order.
The preliminary hearing was conducted in a single bench of Justice Kumar Regmi, who directed the government to provide reasons regarding the detention.
