Corruption Case Filed Against Former Minister Ram Sharan Mahat and High-Level Leaders in Special Court
The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has concluded that corruption occurred in the construction of the Pokhara International Airport.
CIAA has filed a corruption case in the Special Court against the then-ministers: Dr. Ram Sharan Mahat, Post Bahadur Bogati, Ram Kumar Shrestha, Bhim Acharya, and Deepak Amatya. Similarly, 10 then-secretaries have also been named as defendants.
Congress leader Dr. Ram Sharan Mahat is not active in politics due to memory loss caused by Alzheimer's, and among the former ministers, Bogati, who was also a Maoist leader, has already passed away.
