Public Mandate Has Turned Popular Votes into Ashes: Purna Basnet
Purna Basnet, head of the publicity department of the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal, remarked that the public mandate has already turned the votes received by parties and leaders into ashes.
He made this comment after political parties began issuing statements opposing the dissolution of the House of Representatives.
Basnet urged corrupt parties and their leaders to apologize to the people. He said, “The corrupt parties and leaders, who have already faced ruthless public action, must apologize for the wrongdoings they have committed against the people and the nation until now.
If the state dares, be ready to face further consequences. That will be in your own best interest.”
