Nepal Police Directs Volleyball Player Punam Chand to Appear Within Seven Days
The Nepal Police has directed Punam Chand, a player for the national women's volleyball team and the Nepal Police Club, to appear with an explanation within seven days. Issuing a notice on May 25, the Police Headquarters asked Police Constable Chand, who has been absent without authorization since March 29, to present her defense.
She had departed for Australia some time ago while she was in the closed training camp for the CAVA Women's Volleyball Championship, due to which she is not included in the team for the tournament currently running on the domestic court.
After she failed to come into contact despite searches and the posting of a notice according to the rules, the police issued a public notice in the newspaper as a final opportunity.
