Election Commission Receives Proportional Closed Lists from Four Political Parties

Kathmandu — Janapriya Loktantrik Party has submitted its proportional representation closed list to the Election Commission. As today is the final day for submitting proportional representation closed lists, the party submitted its list to the Commission accordingly.

Similarly, Nemakipa, Rashtriya Janamorcha, and Nepal Loktantrik Party have also submitted their proportional representation closed lists to the Election Commission.

According to the Commission, only political parties registered yesterday and today are permitted to submit closed lists of candidates under the proportional representation system. The submitted closed lists will be reviewed from Poush 15 to 20. 

During the review process, the Commission will examine whether the lists meet the legal inclusive criteria, verify the eligibility of the candidates, and assess the overall structure of the lists.
