Prime Minister’s Message on Maghe Sankranti
Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has stated that original festivals like Maghe Sankranti are invaluable assets to the country's civilization, culture, and identity. Speaking at a program organized by the Magar Association at Tundikhel in Kathmandu on Thursday, she mentioned that unity amidst diversity and plurality has made our nation, Nepal, prosperous and strong.
She said, "Original festivals like Maghe Sankranti are invaluable assets to our civilization, culture, and identity. Unity amidst diversity and plurality has made the nation of Nepal prosperous and powerful. We must all take pride in our original culture, festivals, and identity. It is necessary to promote and preserve them."
Similarly, she stated that the government remains firm in the belief that inclusive development is sustainable development. She remarked that in the current specific situation of the country, there is a need for even greater unity, cooperation, and mutual trust among everyone.
