Prime Minister Sushila Karki Vows to Hold Elections on Declared Date

Prime Minister Sushila Karki has stated that the government is preparing with the goal of holding the elections on the declared date.

Speaking at a program organized today in honor of the 22nd Jyapu Day by the Jyapu Culture Development Fund, Prime Minister Karki made it clear that the government is committed to transferring power into the hands of the younger generation through the election to be held on Fagun 21 and advancing the country on the path of rapid development.

Mentioning that many lessons were learned from the Gen Z movement on Bhadra 23 and 24, Prime Minister Karki called on all parties to unite to fulfill the aspirations of the people's movement. 

"It is our responsibility that the government holds general elections on the coming Fagun 21, hands over power to the youth, and leads the country towards the path of rapid development," she said. "Therefore, the government is fully engaged in preparations with the goal of completing the election on the announced date. I expect the cooperation of all Nepalis to make this campaign successful."

She noted that the role of local government is important in preserving and promoting the cultural traditions, festivals, and celebrations managed by more than 500 Guthi organizations. For this, she expressed the government's commitment to providing maximum support and cooperation.

Extending best wishes on the occasion of the Day, Prime Minister Karki emphasized that special attention must be paid to preserving original policies while promoting culture in the international market by linking it with tourism.
