Prime Minister Shah and ADB President Hold Courtesy Meeting

Asian Development Bank (ADB) President Masato Kanda held a courtesy meeting with Prime Minister Balendra Shah today. During this courtesy meeting, which focused on further strengthening the six-decade-long development partnership between the Government of Nepal and the ADB, both sides expressed their commitment to mutual cooperation.

According to Dipa Dahal, Press and Research Expert to Prime Minister Shah, during the half-hour courtesy meeting, Prime Minister Shah expressed confidence that Nepal would take a new leap forward in development through good governance and transparency in the coming days.

Positive discussions were held between both sides on moving hydropower and tourism forward as the backbone of Nepal's economy, and collaborating on digitalization and tourism road infrastructure.

During the meeting, President Kanda expressed his commitment to further expanding development cooperation in Nepal, stating that the ADB will continuously remain active as a long-term partner for Nepal's economic development and prosperity.

He praised Nepal's immense economic potential, strong mandate, and youth leadership, reiterating that the ADB will always support Nepal's success. He stated that Nepal's youth leadership and commitment to reform are inspiring.
