President Paudel Summons All-Party Meeting; PM Karki and Major Leaders to Confer Today
Kathmandu. As the election scheduled for Fagun 21 approaches, CPN (UML) has expressed serious dissatisfaction, stating that the interim government led by Prime Minister Sushila Karki is shying away from the path of political dialogue and consensus.
Against this backdrop, President Ram Chandra Paudel has called a meeting with Prime Minister Karki and the leaders of the major political parties for 4:00 PM today for discussions.
While the UML has welcomed President Paudel's initiative as an 'attempt to save the soul of the Constitution,' it has simultaneously questioned the intentions of the interim government.
With growing non-dialogue between the interim government, which has the main responsibility for the election, and the major political parties, President Paudel's call for this all-party meeting is seen as a crucial step toward building an election environment, forging political consensus, and ensuring the safe conclusion of the democratic process.
