President Paudel Departing for Official Visit to Japan Today
Kathmandu: On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and Japan, President Ramchandra Paudel is departing for an official visit to Japan today, Sunday. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, President Paudel is visiting Japan at the invitation of the Japanese government, leading a Nepali delegation.
Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai stated that President Paudel will depart for Japan tonight at 11:30 PM via Nepal Airlines flight number 433. After completing the visit, he is scheduled to return home on February 4 at 4:30 PM.
During the visit, President Paudel will participate in a special ceremony organized by the Japanese government on February 2 to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Nepal-Japan diplomatic relations.
Similarly, a state call on His Majesty Emperor Naruhito of Japan at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo is scheduled for February 3. On the same day, President Paudel is also scheduled to hold a meeting with the Prime Minister of Japan, Ms. Takaichi Sanae, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During the visit, a courtesy call will also be held with the State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, Horii Iwao.
In the course of this visit, President Paudel will participate in an interaction with the Japanese business community and attend a reception organized by the Embassy of Nepal in Japan. Accompanying President Paudel on the visit are his spouse, Sabita Paudel, and high-level government officials.
