President Paudel Extends Greetings on Udhauli Festival
Kathmandu. President Ramchandra Paudel has issued a congratulatory message on the occasion of the Kirant community's Udhauli festival, extending wishes for happiness, peace, and prosperity to all Nepali sisters and brothers residing both in Nepal and abroad.
In the message, the President noted that this festival of the Kirant community, which has an inseparable connection with nature, has helped to enhance mutual goodwill among all the castes and communities of Nepal, as well as maintain familial, communal, and social unity.
"In Nepal, which is a shared garden of various castes and communities, festivals like Udhauli have played a vital role in weaving our cultural, ethnic, and linguistic diversity together, thus establishing social harmony, national unity, and a shared Nepali identity.
I feel that this festival has helped further strengthen the symbiotic relationship between human life and nature, environmentally adaptable life management, unity, cooperation, cultural preservation, respect for labor, and reverence for ancestors," the message states.
The President expressed his confidence in the message that the Udhauli festival will contribute to enhancing mutual goodwill, tolerance, and a sense of fraternity in the diverse Nepali society, thereby further strengthening national unity.
