Durga Prasai Claims 90 Percent of Nepalese People Do Not Want Elections
Kathmandu. Medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai has stated that the country needs journalism that saves the nation, protects religion, and preserves culture. Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, he said that if everyone does not come together to save the country, they must be prepared to face a terrifying situation.
He said, "We need journalism that protects the country, its religion, and its culture. If we do not all work together now to save the nation, we must be prepared to face a dire situation."
Similarly, he claimed that elections are currently only mandatory for those who are formally capturing state power. He stated that 90 percent of Nepal's population today does not want an election. According to him, those who planned everything inside closed rooms are just as guilty as Ramesh Lekhak and KP Oli, who ordered the police to kill children.
He added, "If this election happens, what was the demand of Gen Z? Fires broke out in Singha Durbar and the Supreme Court—where is the action against the corrupt? Today, 90 percent of the people in Nepal do not want an election. However, elections are only mandatory for those who are formally seizing power right now.
Those who sat in closed rooms and planned all of this are likely just as guilty as Ramesh Lekhak and KP Oli, who gave orders to the police to kill children.
Therefore, both should be punished. I will release videos of further misdeeds involving the former Mayor of Kathmandu, Sobita Gautam, and others a few days before the election."
