Prachanda's Search for a New Electoral Constituency

It appears that Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda), who was elected from Gorkha Constituency No. 2 in the 2079 House of Representatives election, will not have a permanent seat there. In the last election, Dr. Baburam Bhattarai had stepped aside to give that seat to Dahal.

However, Dr. Bhattarai is now preparing to run as a candidate from Gorkha-2 himself in the upcoming election scheduled for March 5 (Fagun 21). Because of this, Dahal needs to find a new place to contest from. 

Although Dahal has run for office in Chitwan, Rolpa, Siraha, and Kathmandu in the past, the public is curious about where he will go this time, especially since his party’s influence has weakened.
