Prachanda's Greetings on Maghi and Makar Sankranti: A Call for Unity and Prosperity

Kathmandu. Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', Coordinator of the Nepali Communist Party, has expressed his best wishes to everyone on the occasion of Maghi, the main festival of the Tharu community, and Maghe Sankranti (Makar Sankranti), celebrated by various communities including Hindus, Magars, and Chhantyals.

Through a message of greetings, Coordinator Prachanda mentioned that Maghi and Maghe Sankranti are living identities of Nepal's multi-ethnic, multi-lingual, and multi-cultural society, stating that these festivals convey the message of unity in diversity, mutual respect, brotherhood, and social harmony.

He expressed his wish that, just as the days lengthen and nights shorten with the start of Uttarayan, the darkness in the country's national life may vanish, ushering in a new era of light, progress, and prosperity.

He noted that the tradition of Nepalis from the Terai, hills, and mountains sitting with their families to share dishes like khichdi, ghee, chaku, and vegetables while sharing their joys and sorrows further strengthens society.

In the message, Prachanda expressed confidence that this festival would inspire everyone to work harder, unite, and honestly fulfill the responsibility of nation-building.

Additionally, he called upon everyone to move forward together to realize the dream of full implementation of the constitution, national unity, peace, good governance, and a prosperous Nepal.
