Prachanda Stresses National Unity Through Inclusion and Equality

Kathmandu: Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', the coordinator of the Nepali Communist Party, has stated that national unity can only be strengthened by effectively implementing state policies based on coexistence, equality, and inclusion for all castes and communities.

In a congratulatory message issued on Tuesday for the Tamu Lhosar and Mhaipru Nakuma festivals, he pointed out that Nepal is a meeting point of many races, languages, and cultures. He emphasized that the state must prioritize the protection, respect, and promotion of these cultures.

According to him, Nepal's national unity becomes strong through the respect of identity and inclusive practices, rather than through suppression or forced uniformity.

Coordinator Dahal mentioned that indigenous groups and various communities played a significant role in every movement for change. He stated that the main need today is to create an environment where their languages, cultures, and identities can flourish under the protection of the Republic.

He expressed that the state must be serious about putting the spirit of equality and inclusion—as guaranteed by the constitution—into practice. He believes this is necessary to strengthen harmony and coexistence in a multicultural society.

Prachanda added that the Democratic Republic will become more stable and sustainable only if social justice and equal opportunities are ensured while keeping the cultural identities of diverse communities safe.
