Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' Extends Sonam Lhosar Greetings

Kathmandu: The Coordinator of the Nepal Communist Party, Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', has stated that Sonam Lhosar is a symbol of respect for identity, culture, labor, nature, and collective life.

Extending his greetings on the occasion of Sonam Lhosar on Monday, he mentioned that Sonam Lhosar is not just a celebration of the New Year, but a symbol of respect for identity, culture, labor, nature, and collective life.

He said, "Sonam Lhosar is not just a celebration of the New Year; it is a symbol of respect for identity, culture, labor, nature, and collective life. Bidding farewell to Duk Lho (Year of the Dragon) and welcoming Ta Lho (Year of the Horse), this festival conveys a message of change, momentum, and new resolutions."

Similarly, he stated that the Lho tradition of the Tamang community, Selo culture, the tunes of Damphu-Tungna, and collective celebrations have been keeping Nepal's multi-ethnic and multi-cultural character alive, adding that this very diversity is the strong foundation of national unity.

He further noted that the struggle for social justice, equality, inclusiveness, and the rights of oppressed communities continues today.

He expressed that Sonam Lhosar will help inspire everyone to unite against discrimination and become more determined in the campaign to establish good governance, prosperity, and people's rule.
