Prachanda Extends New Year 2026 Greetings to Nepalis at Home and Abroad

Kathmandu. On the occasion of the English New Year 2026, Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda,” Coordinator of the Nepali Communist Party, has extended warm greetings to all Nepalis living in the country and abroad.

In his New Year message, he expressed confidence that the New Year would bring new hope, energy, and determination, and guide the nation toward political stability, peace, prosperity, and success.

He appealed to safeguard the achievements gained through the sacrifices of martyrs, the disappeared, the injured, and disabled fighters of various phases of struggle, and to move forward toward socialism by building a more inclusive, progressive, and prosperous nation.

Coordinator Prachanda noted that the Gen Z youth movement witnessed in 2025 signaled a new wave of political change, clearly highlighting the need for serious reforms in old structures, working styles, and practices. 

He also stated that the relevance of agendas previously raised as dissenting views during the constitution-making process has now been reaffirmed.

Highlighting the current fluid political situation, he emphasized the need for mutual understanding among progressive forces and national unity. 

He added that safeguarding national sovereignty and ensuring free and fair elections in a fear-free environment is a shared responsibility of all.

Stating that the journey toward socialism with prosperity is possible by further strengthening the federal democratic republic and prioritizing social justice, economic development, and youth empowerment, he wished that the New Year 2026 would bring happiness, good health, and success to everyone.
