Prachanda Expresses Condolences Over Loss of Lives in India Fire Incidents
Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', coordinator of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) and former Prime Minister, offered condolences to those who perished in the fire incidents that took place in Goa and Uttar Pradesh, India on Saturday.
Through a post on the social networking site Facebook on Tuesday, he also stated that the government must take quick steps for the management of the remains of the seven Nepalis who lost their lives in the fire incidents and for providing necessary relief.
He wrote, "I am shocked by the sad news that seven Nepalis passed away in the fire incidents in Goa and Uttar Pradesh, India. I pay heartfelt tribute to the departed brothers and express deep condolences to the bereaved families."
Furthermore, Coordinator Prachanda has directed the relevant diaspora committees of his party to coordinate and facilitate the management of the deceased's remains and the provision of necessary relief.
"I urge the government to take swift diplomatic steps for the management of the deceased's remains and the provision of necessary relief. Also, I direct the relevant diaspora committees of the party to coordinate and facilitate the process," he wrote.
